Olivia Steinman is a photographer based in Sarnia, Ontario. She studied photography at OCAD University before returning to her hometown, where she co-founded an artist-run centre and collaborated with local artists to create space for community-based exhibitions and creative projects.

Working primarily with natural light, Olivia’s photography focuses on portraiture and everyday life. She is particularly drawn to photographing artists within their studio spaces, creating portraits that reflect the relationship between person, process, and environment. Alongside commissioned work, her personal practice documents quiet, intimate moments with her children.

Her work has been exhibited in Sarnia and Toronto and has been featured internationally online. Her recent photographic series Brothers was featured as an online portfolio in FLOAT Magazine, while her project Familiar Faces, documenting international students navigating the early stages of life in Canada, was featured in the April 2025 issue of Maclean’s Magazine.

Recent exhibitions include the Teachers Show at The Art House in Sarnia and participation in the CONTACT Photography Festival in Toronto.
